Last month might have been the best so far in terms of quality of games released this year. There are some big name entries into massive franchises as well as a few port of quality games of the past.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world tactical shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Paris. It is the tenth installment in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise and is the first Ghost Recon game to feature an open world environment. The game moves away from the futuristic setting introduced in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and instead feature a setting similar to the original Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Ubisoft described it as one of the biggest open world games that they have ever published, with the game world including a wide variety of environments such as mountains, forests, deserts and salt flats. The game was released on March 7, 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Styx: Shards of Darkness
Styx: Shards of Darkness is a stealth video game developed by French developer Cyanide and published by Focus Home Interactive. It is the sequel to the 2014 game Styx: Master of Shadows and the third game set in the fictional world of the Of Orcs and Men series. Like its predecessor, Styx will be able to clone himself and to lay traps for his enemies, and will also be able to temporarily turn invisible. The player will have the option of engaging enemies or avoiding them. Ropes and grappling hooks can be used to reach high areas. The game was released worldwide on 14 March 2017 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Nier: Automata
Nier: Automata is an open-world action role-playing video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. Nier: Automata is a sequel to the 2010 video game Nier, a spin-off of the Drakengard series. Set in the midst of a proxy war between machines created by otherworldly invaders and the remnants of humanity, the story follows the battles of a combat android, her companion, and a fugitive prototype. Gameplay combines role-playing elements with action-based combat and mixed genre gameplay similar to that of Nier.Upon release, Nier: Automata was given highly positive reviews, with critics praising the game's narrative, characterization, music design, combat system and usage of different gameplay genres. Criticism was leveled at the game's technical problems. The game released worldwide on Steam for PC in March 17, 2017.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda is an action role-playing video game developed by BioWare Montreal and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. It is the fourth entry overall in the Mass Effect series and the first since 2012's Mass Effect 3. The game begins within the Milky Way Galaxy during the 22nd century, where humanity is planning to populate new home worlds in the Andromeda Galaxy as part of a strategy called the Andromeda Initiative. The player assumes the role of either Scott or Sara Ryder, an inexperienced military recruit who joins the Initiative and wakes up in Andromeda following a 600-year journey. Mass Effect: Andromeda has a lighter tone than previous installments in the series, with open world elements and an emphasis on exploration. Many of the series' traditional gameplay elements remain, while others have been modified, such as combat, which is less cover-based and more mobile. The game was released in March 21, 2017.
Zero Escape: The Nonary Games
It is bundle containing the first two games in the series Zero Escape, which is a series of adventure games directed and written by Kotaro Uchikoshi. Each game in the series follows a group of nine individuals, who are kidnapped and held captive by a person who goes by the name "Zero", and are forced to play a game of life and death in order to escape. The gameplay is divided into two types of sections: Novel sections, where the games' stories are presented, and Escape sections, where the player solves puzzles in escape-the-room scenarios. The stories are affected by player choices, and include multiple endings. This bundle containing the first two games, titled Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in the West on March 24, 2017.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U video game consoles.
