New Book Review - Control Point by Myke Cole

Book - Control Point
Writer - Myke Cole
Series - Shadow Ops #1
Published By - Ace

Urban fantasy is a genre that is plagued with mediocrity, that is why it is quite a pleasurable experience when you find something enjoyable in this genre. Mostly known for its romance and female protagonists it is quite nice to have something like Control Point which is a break-neck paced action-packed story with a cool magic system as well as world-building. Although it lacks a bit on the character department as a debut it is really something to be appreciated.

Newer Combo Videos - Kof XIII King Elegantly Simple

King is one of the characters having the least amount of variations in her combo arsenal in Kof XIII with only 3/4 special moves available. But still I tried to find new stuff or modify/improve previously published stuff of her. I think their are some new combos including new 100%’s at the 2nd half of the cmv. Some of these combos require specific placements and timing to work.
Kof XIII and Music used in this video are property of their respective owners, they were used without any view of profit. All combos were performed on keyboard; no tools, cheats or hacks were used.
I tried to record mostly new stuff or improved/modified version of old combos published elsewhere.
This video is dedicated to "Persona" & "DarkChaotix" for their inspiring effort in making Kof XIII combo videos for the last 2-3 years.

New Metal Reviews - "Old Mornings Dawn" by Summoning

Album Name - Old Mornings Dawn
Band Name - Summoning
Genre - Epic/Atmospheric Black Metal
Label - Naplam Records
Release Date - June 5th, 2013
Line Up -
Pretector - Vocals, Keyboards, Drum Programming, Guitars
 Silenius - Vocals, Keyboards, Bass
Guest Vocals - David Seys (Track 3, 8); Erica Szucs (Track 1, 4)

Have you ever wished that "Lord of the Rings" movies had better soundtrack or wished to hear some nice music inspired by LotR as a whole? Well, wish no more Summoning is here, and they have been for quite a long time (from 1993 to be exact). If you are a fan of metal as well you probably know about them and are a fan. But, yet more people need to know about this awesome band. On a simpler explanation, their music can be described as atmospheric black metal inspired by Tolkien, but it is so much more. These musicians can create a middle-earth in our minds on a whole new different level. This album is their latest effort, which actually is after a long gap of 7 years, following which might have been (according to some) their greatest release "Oath Bound". So naturally Summoning have a lot to prove, and although they might not have reached new grounds with this one but they still are very good at what they do and what they do is worship Middle-earth in a black metal way.

New Anime Review - Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta

Anime Name - Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta
Aired - Oct 6, 2013 to Dec 29, 2013
Episodes - 13

Produced By - Tatsunoko Productions
Staff - ryo-timo (Director, Character Design, Chief Animation Director), Suzuhito Yasuda (Original Creator), Jin Aketagawa (Sound Director), Rie Oda (Art Director)
What do you get when you mix a weird and refreshing supernatural setting with cliched shounen character backgrounds and battle elements? When you mix a solid plot-line having interesting aspects with unnecessary and distracting fan service? And add pleasing art style & character designs with diverse yet quite unoriginal cast of characters? Apparently you get this show, which, as these mixtures suggests is a flawed yet quite an enjoyable experience at the end of the day.

New Year's Resoulution (2014)

Hmm, it is that time of the year again.
Every year at the beginning of the year for quite a long time I try to make a list for myself for the things I wanna do/achieve on that year (although I fail in most of these). Why not make such a list for my blog this year?
